Hot, hot, hot Ibiza (28 August – 4 September 2013)

Ibiza is one of the Balearic Islands in Spain, which attracts tourists from Europe. Mainly young ones out to party and enjoy the sun. It was Cafe Del Mar that prompted me to suggest Ibiza as our holiday destination. The boys love the beach, I want to see Cafe Del Mar and Ibiza’s legendary sunset. We … Continue reading

Ibiza (Spain) Here I come!

About 15 years ago, I first listened to music from Cafe Del Mar collection. Café del Mar is a bar located in Sant Antoni de Portmany, Ibiza. It is known for its sunsets and chill-out music. Chill-out music is what I love. One of the albums that I own came with 2-disc set is the 25th … Continue reading

A visit to Wadi Rum and Petra in Jordan

Since I posted the travel photos of Jerusalem in March 2013, it has been awhile since I posted any travel post. We have a long weekend in the UK with Monday as our bank holiday, so I’ll give another travel post a go. It has been difficult for me to sort out and select amongst … Continue reading

O Jerusalem

O Jerusalem, fragrant with prophets The shortest path between heaven and earth… A beautiful child with burned fingers and downcast eyes… O Jerusalem, city of sorrow, A tear lingering in your eyes… Who will wash your bloody walls? O Jerusalem, my beloved Tomorrow the lemon trees will blossom; the olive trees rejoice; your eyes will … Continue reading

Barcelona! It was the first time that we met ….

In two days time, my family and I will be packing up our bags heading to our next destination. For the time being recalling my travel last Autumn, I remember the city of Barcelona. Every time I think about the city of Barcelona, I can only hear Freddie Mercury singing the titular song at the … Continue reading

Lisbon, the city of early ocean explorers

I officially switch off my mind on work and start holiday today, even though I may be working for the next 2 days. 🙂 I presented my proposal today, so I feel a heavy weight has been lifted off from my shoulder. My December reading plan is in a mess, I can’t bring myself to … Continue reading

Lisbon-Barcelona-Paris

This holiday should not had happened but……… a friend from Singapore is coming here, so we accommodate. I speak as if I’m going on holiday in reluctance but my objective was to visit most of Europe in my lifetime (and there are many many countries in Europe!) so may as well tick it off my … Continue reading

Marrakech : Second stop for my last summer holiday

I haven’t forgotten about my promise. There are some pictures I want to show you after Agadir on our next stop to Marrakech. I have visited Marrakech for 6 or 7 times and every time I go there for an overnight trip, I thought it was too dusty, too busy and too hot. This is the … Continue reading

Travel photos – Agadir beach scenes

I know, it’s autumn. We do not need to be reminded of the summer that’s gone. But a promise is a promise, so I hope to show you a series of travel pictures in 2 (or 3) separate posts. This year I have an overbooked of holidays and I am feeling slightly guilty about it. … Continue reading

Last holiday recalled (Chamonix-Geneva-Berlin)

Thank for your well wishes on the safe trip to Europe 3 weeks ago. I hope to share some lovely pictures from the Mont Blanc and Berlin with you. Just one day before the trip I received my new Canon Powershot SX40, so absolutely over the moon that more vivid and fabulous pictures could be … Continue reading

Reading, after a certain age, diverts the mind too much from its creative pursuits. Any man who reads too much and uses his own brain too little falls into lazy habits of thinking. - Albert Einstein (1879 - 1955)
